A MATHEMATICAL MODEL TO ATTAIN PEACE BASED ON MONOTHEISM

Abstract

Based on an primary assumption that the human being and different human societies have developed themselves towards the perfection during the history, and considering that God, the creator, is the most and absolute perfect and the origination of kindness, peace and justice, a hypothesis has been predicted that the ultimate peace will be attainable while the human being and different human societies become well familiar with God’s essence, names and attributes. So a mathematical model has been developed based on the Fuzzy Theory which characterized each individual human partially as a monotheist regardless of his/her beliefs. Each society has been developed during the history towards peace, hence “no one is absolutely against peace, but everyone and each society is definitely looking for peace and perfection”. The model further has been developed based on Evolutionary Algorithms to prove that each human society is moving forward based on an Evolutionary approach towards the ultimate peace and divine perfection. The Model predict that this is attainable when the human being move towards God, so that all differences and diversities will be disregarded. The model proves that our Great Lord is the absolute sovereign and Peace-Maker, but this concept is being recognized for the creatures along with the evolution of human generations. Finally all the religions and beliefs even the idolatry and paganism will be considered as paths towards God based on his will. So there will be no place for hate and enmity at all. Based on this conclusions, the author, Mr. Seyed Hossein Kazemeini Boroujerdi, as a religious leader and great Monotheistic teacher has already begun to work for peace within groups of Iranian society with different beliefs and faiths and he has achieved successful advantages.

A Mathematical Model to Attain Peace based on Monotheism

Some primary modelling based on mathematical approaches to prove that how the mankind can attain peace by knowing God’s essence, names and attributes, is discussed in this paper. So it is explained that Monotheism regardless of religion and or belief, is a key solution to establish peace in the world.

There are some basic assumptions in this paper which primarily are explained in brief.

Assumption 1: Development of Human Societies

Human being and different human societies have developed themselves during the history towards the perfection. So definitely it is necessary to accept that since the day of Creation, the mankind tried to move towards better life and perfection.

Probably, the old societies and civilizations were less developed and it is clear that the human societies have been developed progressively at least during last 500 years. In addition, it is foreseen that the trend of this development will be or is planned to be positive in future.

Assumption 2: God is the Creator

Since the history of humanity began to be recorded, there have been a lot of discussions and debates between scientists and religious leaders regarding the creation of the universe, mankind, animals and whatever creatures. Regardless of such debates, we assume and believe that God, the one Lord is the creator of everything including human beings and the whole universe.

So since he has created, definitely he is the absolute power and he absolutely scheduled the predestination of all creatures including mankind and he is the absolute origination of perfection, kindness, peace and justice.

Hypothesis

Based on the above assumptions, it is predicted that the ultimate peace will be attainable while the human being and different human societies become well familiar with God’s essence, names and attributes. Hence monotheism or being monotheist is a key to move towards perfection and peace.

Human Beings and Monotheism

Each human being is a Theist, so all groups of people with different beliefs about Monotheism, are welcomed to be studied in this paper, since:

1. If he/ she worships God, or whether he/she believes in God, that’s is perfect.

2. If he/she believes in several Gods, that means he/she has discovered several essences which he/she still cannot recognize a difference between them and find who the real God is. So as God is the greatest, nothing is excluded from his dominion.

3. Even if he/she is idolater, it means that he/she found the God’s names, or attributes in any type of Idol.

4. In probably the worst case, if he/she is a pagan, it means that he/she never believes in God, but what he/she never believes, that means he/she recognizes an essence which he/she doesn’t want to believe in that. So that essence is actually part of his/her thought or words. That is enough to see he/she knows an essence but he/she doesn’t want to believe. So he/she is still welcomed as a different class of theist.

Fuzzy Theory

In fuzzy logic, a Fuzzy Variable is a quantity that can take on linguistic rather than precise numerical values. The fuzzy variable shown as X is associated with a restriction R(X) which is a fuzzy subset of the universe of discourse.

Fuzzy Variable X: whether one human called X is Monotheist, Theist, Idolater, Pagan, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jew, and Zoroastrian, Hinduist …, he/she is a member of an infinite set of believers in God. So all religious or non-religious beliefs regarding the Lord are the values of human beings which have been fuzzily included in this set. Hence the infinite set of believers is defined as U with values from u₁, u₂, u₃, …. u_n where n is infinite.

So based on this model, for example one human being can be 90 percent monotheistic and 10 percent pagan, he can believe something and never believe other things. His belief whatever it is, indeed is a fuzzy value and this human being is considered as a fuzzy variable (figure 1).

U: Universe of the above values, an infinite set including all of beliefs with variation from absolute monotheist to absolute pagan.

So referring to fuzzy theory, one human may vary from an absolute Monotheist to an absolute pagan.

Since it is believed that no one from mankind is absolute pagan, so this fuzzy variable is defined as below where the amounts of 1 and 0 and whatever between these two numbers, are actually showing the membership of a human being to the set of Monotheists:

Therefore, the vision and ideology of each human being regarding God’s essence, names and attributes can be related to this fuzzy variable. For simpler description, the amount of 1 is shown as full coloured circle and the other amounts having variable colours in figure 2.

It is supposed that each human being is somewhat monotheist and somewhat pagan, so he/she is not absolutely 1 or absolutely 0, but is in the range between 1 and 0. No one is absolutely dark or absolutely white, but he/ she is in the range of varied color. So in one word, all beliefs are welcomed in this paper to be studied. In addition, each human being likes and believes at least to one of the values of Kindness, Peace and Justice. So never mind one is monotheist or pagan or a believer of any religion or doctrine, at least he/she wants to live in peace and save his/her life, so he/she needs peace at least for himself/herself, hence believes on peace. That is interesting point to proceed after the previous assumptions.

It is concluded that each society has been developed during the history towards peace, hence “no one is absolutely against peace, but everyone and each society is definitely looking for peace and perfection”. Based on this Model, peace is attainable when the human being move towards God, so that all differences and diversities will be disregarded. Evolutionary algorithm

Evolutionary algorithm (EA) is a subset of evolutionary computation, a generic population-based metaheuristic optimization algorithm. An EA uses mechanisms inspired by biological evolution, such as reproduction, mutation, recombination, and selection (Figure 3).

So the basic assumptions are as below:

1. Human beings are not absolute in having any type of beliefs which are classified in terms of scientific or religious names, so every man or woman has a Fuzzy defined belief regarding his/her views on monotheism.

2. All mankind naturally and essentially believe in Kindness, Peace and Justice.

3. Nature is based on Evolution and evolution is towards perfection.

4. Based on the above assumptions, an Evolutionary algorithms is suggested to lead mankind towards Peace. Following it is explained what procedure is required to attain the ultimate peace based on Monotheism.

Mutation in Monotheism: Mutation is one of the main stages of evolution. So all believers regardless of their belief have to come together as the members of the great set of monotheists (defined as U or universe of beliefs).

Variation: This solidarity is a peaceful movement with kindness and having open mind. However, a lot of new ideologies, visions, viewpoints and beliefs will be reproduced which is classified in terms of Variation in Evolutionary Algorithms.

Selection: Conflicts between beliefs are foreseen, even the ones accompanied with more wealth, power or media can be temporarily highlighted. However since the movement is based on peace, eventually the beliefs which are promoting peace and kindness more than others will be selected for the next generation of beliefs because peace is interested for the whole members of the set. This is actually classified as Favourable Mutation in terms of Evolution.

Reproduction: The most peaceful beliefs will continue to be generated in next stages of generations. So based on the evolutionary approach, the whole members will attain the ultimate peace just after several generations of beliefs. In such cases, the religious beliefs will be optimized or modified based on kindness and humanity and all intolerances and conflicts will not proceed for the next generations.

Boroujerdi’s Plan

Here as final part of the paper, it is explained how the above modelling and approach have been practically implemented as a plan in Iran, a sample country with a society having varieties of beliefs and religions. This plan is called “Boroujerdi Plan” in honour of its leader Mr. Seyed Hossein Kazemeini Boroujerdi.

Primary Beliefs. Mr. Boroujerdi is a secular mind Iranian religious leader who advocates separation of religion from politics, and supports peace, democracy, freedom and human rights. He began his religious and social activities in 1980 firstly based on concepts of Islam, the major religion of Iran. Although at the same time, the Islamic state of Iran was established based on ruling of clerics and Sharia laws, Mr. Boroujerdi held a different movement in accordance with peaceful aspects of non-political Islam to support a version of this religion which promotes love and kindness. He was also supporting peaceful movements all around the world especially in Middle East.

Evolutionary Approach. During 1990’s he established a new movement called “Gnosis of Heavenly Imams” in which he led benediction ceremonies to worship God regardless of the beliefs and religions, in the presence of Shiite and Sunni Muslims, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians and Baha’is and followers of other beliefs. During the ceremonies, he called for solidarity between Monotheists to move towards peace. In addition he was calling for abolishment of any religious violence including cruel, inhuman, degrading treatment or punishments such as torture, stoning and whipping. He rejected anti-Semitism and advocated religious freedom. He established welfare centres for helping the poor people and assisting victims of natural disasters. He has condemned personal financial gain from religious activities. As a result of his peaceful movement, his call was welcomed by an increasing number of followers to the extent that his gatherings surpassed the ruler’s organized ceremonies, by their sheers size and numbers. More importantly, many of people with radical beliefs and bigotry, had left their opinions and beliefs and learnt how to live with others in peace and tolerance.

Conflicts with Ruling Clerics. Since thirty years ago, while Mr. Boroujerdi went public with his support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and protestations against the abuses of theocratic rule, the ruling clerics in Iran began to restrict him because he was condemning Islamic fundamentalism, radicalism and terror.

So although his movement was peaceful, he has been jailed since October 2006 due to advocating separation of religion from state and also defending peace and freedom in Iran.

Peaceful Activities from Inside the Prison. During the long years of jail, he has presented new ideas and approaches based on monotheism for restraining the Islamic radicalism to establish peace in Middle East and the world. His new teachings have been collected as a new book called “Encyclopaedia of Appearance” in which he explained how God’s essence, names and attributes will be appeared for mankind if they move towards peace and tolerance with solidarity and kindness. He has presented a new scientific doctrine called “incompatibility of the religious contexts with the religious records” and he proved that although the current religions are all welcomed as a base to know God, but those are not enough and perfect to lead mankind towards God, the origination of perfection and peace. So based on these new ideas, his followers have learnt that God is the one who they were seeking in their life and religion is not the aim, but rather sometimes it can be even an obstacle to stop people in moving towards the Lord. They learnt how they can be a God seeker with having any different belief or religion.

His effective efforts and plans are the best solution to make a new Iran and Middle East free from religious violence and inhumane laws as a result of the demonstrably incorrect interpretation of religious contexts.

Currently his modern views on the monotheism have resulted in an ultimate peaceful solution for the human life and convergence between religious believers.

Conclusions

Mr. Boroujerdi’s plan is a solution to call all human beings with each belief or faith to ignore diversities, stop conflicts and struggles, and come together to make solidarity for attaining peace. The first trial for implementation of this plan within a radical religious society in Iran was amazingly successful. After long years of education and training, the members of the original society who were mostly radical Muslims, learnt how they can live together and with other people in peace without any conflicts.

Currently, they are welcoming and calling all other religious believers, monotheists, pagans … to join as a unique society and to establish a world without violence and hate to attain the ultimate peace. So that, God as the origin of Peace and his essence, kind names and attributes will be appeared for all creatures.
